As recommended, we are now progressing towards full resumption of services in a risk managed manner and using telephone triage in the first instance when necessary.
In the early phase of lock-down release we aim to prioritise those patients with greatest need. With that in mind, if you telephone to make an appointment, an optometrist will speak with you if you are vulnerable, shielded, not having problems or not overdue for examination.
Relaxation of restrictions during COVID-19
The recommended guidance for attending for eye examination have been further relaxed. Please contact us by telephone in the first instance if:
- you are overdue in receiving eye care, including your hospital eye clinic appointment,
- you have any eye or vision concerns,
- you would like to have your spectacles repaired or replaced,
- you wish to order replacement contact lenses,
- you need to collect goods, including eye care products/solutions, or
- you have any questions.
We are currently in attendance Mon-Fri 9-1 & 2-5. The door will remain locked although we are able to help by consultation by appointment. You are most welcome to order new spectacles and all or part of this may be carried out remotely.
We are proud to be providing service through the COVID-19 crisis to support you and reduce pressure on GPs and hospitals. We are taking all possible hygiene measures to keep you safe when you attend.
