Change of role Dr Derek Dunstone
I am proud to be working hard in the Practice providing urgent eye care and essential services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
After 28 years of eye examinations in Hadleigh I am taking more time to devote time to research, teaching, peer support, examination question writing, assessing of trainee optometrists and hopefully more leisure! Click here for more information on my current work, including teaching and research. I am still in the Practice on a regular basis assisting in any way I can.
You are invited to make eye examination appointments with my extremely able optometric colleagues Andrew Dunstone and Michael Giles. We are thrilled that the team has been joined by our son Andrew, who became a Partner in December 2018. He has been qualified ten years and had been working in Scotland and, more recently, Gibraltar. Please click here for further information regarding these optometrists and other members of the team.
I hope that my absence from examining eyes does not cause any inconvenience and can reassure you that we all work to the same high standards. I am confident you will be extremely well looked after.
You are still most welcome to telephone or arrange to meet with me for advice regarding your spectacles or your eyecare in general. You are are also most welcome to make an appointment with me to choose new spectacle frames. I will continue to regularly attend the Practice and be fully involved with its everyday smooth running and staff training meetings.
It has been a pleasure and privilege to meet with many of you to provide eye care. Thank you for your support over the years and I hope you will continue to attend our Practice for many years to come.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I will be only too pleased to talk if advice is required and I will likely meet you again when you are in.
